Teenager Found Lying Injured In Poole Street

Police in Poole are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a teenager was found injured in the town centre.

At 4.57am today, Wednesday 11 January 2011, police received a call from the ambulance service about an unconscious 16-year-old boy who had been found along a service road behind a bakery outside the Dolphin centre.
 
The victim from Poole sustained headinjuries which are not believed to be life-threatening and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
 
Detective Sergeant Rich Philp, of Poole and Bournemouth CID, said: “It is not clear how the victim received his injuries.
 
“I would urge anyone who witnessed an incident along the service road that runs passed the Dolphin Centre and the rear of the bus station, or has any information about anyone involved, to contact police urgently.
 
“All calls will be treated inthe strictest of confidence.”
