Woman Dies After Crash In Wareham

A 74-year-old woman's died in hospital, several days after a crash in Wareham.

At around 12.30pm on Thursday 28 June 2012 three vehicles were involved in a collision on the A352 on Worgret Hill at the
junction with Puddletown Road.

The crash involved a silver Vauxhall Astra being, driven by a 74-year-old woman from the Surrey area, a blue Nissan X-Trail, being driven by a 74-year-old man from the Cornwall area and a white heavy goods vehicle, being driven by a man from the Yeovil area.

Initially it was thought that none of the people involved had only suffered minor injuries.

However, after returning home to Cornwall the front seat passenger of the Nissan X-Trail, a 74-year-old woman, was admitted to Royal Cornwall Hospital and later died.

Police Constable Andy Gold, of Weymouth Traffic Police, said: “Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision and the death of the 74-year-old woman.

“I would ask anyone who has any information about this incident, or who witnessed the collision to please contact myself by calling 101.”
