A 22 year old man is due in court today charged with the murder of his girlfriend whose body was found in woods in Hatfield.

Amelia Arnold, a 19 year old hairdresser, disappeared from the home she shared with Jack Wall, 22, and their young daughter in Hadrian's Walk, Stevenage last Wednesday. Police believe they found her body in woodland in Hatfield on Sunday - a formal identification is yet to take place.

After a police appeal, unemployed Wall handed himself into the town's police station on Sunday, where he was arrested on suspicion of murder.

He will appear before Hatfield Remand Court today.

Another man Joseph Potter, 41, from Sycamore Lane, Bletchley was arrested earlier and has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
