Cash taken during armed robbery

A man armed with a gun escaped with cash from a bookmakers in Luton.

The robber, whose face was covered, pointed a gun at the 24 year old cashier at Betfred in Marsh Road at 9 o'clock on Saturday night.

He demanded that he put money in a dark draw-string bag.

Two customers and another cashier were in the shop at the time.

The robber, who was also wearing glasses, escaped by the fire exit.

Bedfordshire police are appealing for witnesses and information.
