Masked Men Target Harpenden Pub

Two masked men escaped with a large amount of cash and a laptop from a pub in Harpenden.

They got into the back of the Old Bell on Luton Road at a quarter to eleven on Sunday night.

Herts police say the men restrained the landlady, who was in the office, before taking the money and laptop.

PC Caroline Smith said:

"Luckily the landlady was not badly injured during the burglary, but she was very shocked and shaken.

"Although there were no customers in the pub at the time of the burglary, we are hoping that someone may have witnessed some thing suspicious earlier in the evening when the pub was busy, or around the time of the burglary."
