30 April 2010, 17:21

A man's died after a double stabbing in St Albans today (Friday).

Police in the city say the 46 year-old died at an address along Sherwood Avenue, at around 8.40 this morning.

A 53 year-old woman's been seriously hurt after also being stabbed; it's thought she lives next door to the man who's died.

Sherwood Avenue remains cordoned off at the junction with Skieswood Road and Police say Community Support Officers are patrolling the area this evening - talking to and re-assuring residents.

An 18 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
