Bedfordshire Police have released pictures of medals which were stolen in a burglary at a house in Dunstable.

The haul included nine medals along with various gent’s watches some designed by Rotary, Ted Baker and Paul Smith, a white gold necklace and matching earrings, a pearl necklace and other gold jewellery together with a laptop, a Samsung flat screen TV and a Samsung mobile telephone.

The burglary happened between 5.30pm and 9.36pm on Wednesday 13th March when the offenders forced a door to the property to gain access to the house.

The officer in charge of the investigation, DC Surfraz Hussain, is keen to trace anyone who may have been offered any jewellery or medals recently and has circulated pictures of some of the medals taken.

DC Hussain said: “These medals are of significant sentimental value to the owner and can never be replaced. It will be difficult for someone to sell these medals and I would urge anyone who may have been offered this type of item to contact the police as soon as possible.”

Residents are advised to take time out to make sure their homes are protected and to be extra vigilant, reporting any suspicious people they see in their area to the police, immediately.

The reduction of burglary is still a priority for Bedfordshire Police and residents can help keep their homes and property safe by following this simple advice:
