Re-Appeal After Girl Killed By Car

Police investigating a crash in Stevenage in which a 10 year old girl died are appealing for more information.

Yesmine Moumen from Stevenage after being hit by a white Mercedes at the pedestrian crossing on Monkswood Way, opposite Asda, just before 4pm on December 21.

PC Robert Hauxwell said: "I would like to make a specific appeal to a woman who we believe was using the crossing, if not at the same time, very close to the time of the incident. The woman is described as black, 5ft 6ins tall, of a medium build and aged in her 30s or 40s. She is described as being of smartly dressed and wearing a long black jacket."

"If this was you I would ask that you contact police as you may have witnessed what happened. It is some months since the collision but I would ask if people can cast their mind back to December 21 and if you were in the area and haven't yet spoken to police to contact us."

A 44 year old man arrested in connection with the collision is currently on police bail.
