British Transport Police (BTP) has released CCTV stills from Leagrave station after three men attacked a 17 year old lone victim.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Steve McBride, said that the incident took place on Sunday, 1 August, at around 5.15pm.

“A 17-year-old man from Luton was standing on platform 1 when he was approached by three black men,” said Detective Constable McBride. “One of the men suddenly punched the victim and attempted to trip him up, before the all three went on to attack him.”

The three attackers then left the station through the car park, before one of the men returned to the station to carry out a further attack. The victim suffered bruising to his face and went to hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.

“This was a callous and violent attack on a lone man, which has left the victim severely shaken,” said Detective Constable McBride. We have carried out extensive local enquiries and urge anyone with any information to come forward.”
