Body Found In search For Pensioner In Halesworth

Police searching for a missing pensioner in Halesworth say they have found a body.

77 year-old Maureen Groombridge, who has dementia, was last seen at an address in Beech Close at around 8.30pm yesterday.

Officers conducted a search for her in the Halesworth area and were aided by a police helicopter.

Suffolk Police say a woman's body was found in a nearby stream at around 6.30am today but, at this stage, it has not been formally identified.

Ms Groobridge's family have been notified of this development in the search for her.
