Ipswich Man Charged With Aggravated Burglary

A man from Ipswich has been charged with barging into a couple's home with a knife.

25-year-old Thomas Abbott, of Kerry Avenue in Ipswich was arrested yesterday after the incident on Bilney Road in Woodbridge on Tuesday 3 June.

At around 11pm, a woman in her 20s was at home when she heard a knock at the door. When she answered it, a man barged his way into the house holding a knife.

The woman and her partner managed to get the man out of their house and he ran off. 

Mr Abbott is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
