More about the Lewis Mighty Fund

Lewis was only 3 years old when he was diagnosed in October 2008.

Most children who have this disease don’t display any symptoms until the disease is widespread. Devastatingly; Neuroblastoma has only a 20% chance of being cured in Europe making it one of the most deadly of child cancers.

For this reason an appeal is underway to provide the funds for Lewis to travel to America for immunotherapy treatment.

This treatment in not available in Europe; and for Lewis’s best chance of survival he must visit the Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Clinic in New York City.

However, the cost of this life saving treatment comes at a cost. $350,000 is needed before Lewis can visit the clinic and so an appeal to raise £300,000 is underway.

Although Lewis has been undergoing intensive treatment since his diagnosis his spirit and courage continues to shine through and he is an inspiration to those who meet him!

Lewis is a very brave and happy little boy who deserves every chance to live.
