Freeport Braintree is open seven days a week for all your Christmas shopping needs. The Giving Tree is now in place where you can help make Christmas special for less fortunate people in Essex.

While you're picking up pressies for your family and friends, why not pick up a gift for an adult or child who might not get the family Christmas you enjoy?

So, how does it work?

1. Head to the Giving Tree - you'll find it just outside the Barbour store

2. Choose a name tag which will show their age

3. Have fun selecting an appropriate gift from the centre's stores

4. Attach the tag to your unwrapped gift

5. Drop the gift at the Tourist Information Centre

6. Enjoy the warm feeling from making someone’s Christmas more special!

What Happens Next?

Make sure you drop your gift off by Wednesday 3rd December, the Heart Angels will then be delivering all the lovely gifts donated to charities in time to make a child's Christmas.

The charities and organisations benefiting this year are: Farleigh Hospice in Broomfield, J's Hospice in Chelmsford, Little Havens Hospice in Thundersley, Home-Start Mid Essex, St Clare Hospice in Harlow, Colchester and Tendring Women's Refuge and St Helena Hospice in Colchester.
