Chelmsford: Woman Dies In Car Crash
A woman in her 60s has died following a crash in Chelmsford.
She was driving along Parkway at 7:40pm last night (Thursday September 20th) when her car collided with a crash barrier and part of the railway viaduct before overturning beneath the viaduct.
She was taken to Broomfield Hospital where she died about two hours later.
The road was closed until about 12.30am while police carried out an initial investigation into the cause of the crash.
Officers believe that no other vehicles were involved but have asked any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to contact the Essex Police Serious Collision Unit on 101 or email email@example.com
