Clacton: Family Tribute To Dead Woman

The family of an Essex woman found dead in her home have paid tribute to a "vibrant, fun-loving lady".

Mother-of-three Carol Cooper, 66, was discovered by police at her house in St Vincent Road, Clacton, on Friday (31st October). It is believed she was killed at some point since last Wednesday.

Her son, carpet fitter Peter Dickson, 37, also of St Vincent Road, has been charged with murder and remanded in custody until a later date at a Chelmsford Crown Court hearing.

Today the family issued a statement saying: "Carol Cooper was a vibrant, fun-loving lady, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, so cruelly taken from us.

"Loved and treasured, she leaves behind a wealth of memories and will never be forgotten. Peace at last."
