Harlow Man Charged With Firearms Offences

A man from Harlow has been charged with firearms offences after an incident at the Staple Tye shopping centre.

Police were called at around 6.50pm on Tuesday to reports a man had pulled out a gun during an argument with another man.

Officers then arrested 22 year-old Robert Robert Somerville, from Charters Cross, the following day.

He has now been charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possessing an imitative firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He is due to appear before Chelmsford Magistrates' Court today.
