Police Re-appeal After Canvey Assault

Exactly a month after an 11-year-old girl was assaulted on Canvey Island, Essex Police is re-appealing for information.

The girl was walking along Somnes Avenue, close to Waterside Farm Park, on Sunday October 9th between 1.15pm and 2.15pm when she was grabbed from behind by a man.

The offender, believed to be in his 20s, tried to drag her onto a path with bushes along the side but the girl fought him off and ran away.

The attacker is described as over six feet tall, of chubby build with short, light brown hair.

He was wearing a dark grey adidas tracksuit with black stripes along the arms and legs and an adidas logo on the chest.
