Southend: School Boy Robbed By 'Drunk' Woman

A Southend school boy has been robbed by a 'drunk' woman in Southend.

The 13-year-old boy was punched in the face and robbed of £20 cash at Sutton Road at about 5.45pm on Friday January 31.

Investigating officer DC Mark Sawyer said: "The boy was walking along the road when he was approached by a woman who appeared to be drunk.

"She suddenly grabbed the boy’s hooded top, pulled it down over his face then punched him once in the face.

"She them grabbed the cash and some other items from his pocket."

The woman is described as being in her 30s or 40s, about 5ft 6in tall, of medium build and with dark brown shoulder-length hair.

She was wearing a black padded jacket and blue jeans.
