Stansted Flight Diverted Over Smell

Passengers on a Ryanair flight from Barcelona to Stansted faced ten hours of delays and two diversions after a suspicious smell was reported on board.

It took off on Tuesday but was diverted to France after a passenger complained about the unusual odour.

An engineer checked the plane and four hours later it was given the go ahead to fly. But an hour into the flight, it was forced to land again at Gatwick after a passenger complained of fumes.

Passengers had to get a coach from Gatwick to Stansted and Ryanair say the plane is being inspected again.
