Three Left Homeless After Fire In Grays

A couple in their 70s and a 15 year-old boy have been left homeless after a fire in Grays.

Six fire crews were called to a bungalow on Highfield Gardens just before 11.15pm yesterday.

Crews reported 50 percent of the roof was on fire and the bungalow next door was filled with smoke.

Firefighters had to remove roof tiles so they could get to the seat of the fire.

An investigation into what caused it has now started.
