Westcliff: Bank Robbery CCTV Released

Essex Police have released a CCTV image of a man following a bank robbery in Westcliff.

A man went into Lloyds Bank on London Road last Monday morning (19 August) and passed a note to staff demanding money.

It also said he had a gun although no weapon was seen.

He then made off with a four-figre sum of cash.

This man is described as being aged in his 60s, about 5ft 6-8ins tall with grey hair and facial stubble.

He was of slim build and wore a grey/green anorak and was carrying two carrier bags.

The robbery is being investigated by detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate based at Pitsea police station.
