Westcliff: Man Stabbed In Flats Stairwell

A man has been stabbed in the leg during an assault in the stairwell of a block of flats in Westcliff.

The man was approached by another man in Grampians on Balmoral Road at around 3.20pm on Saturday, March 22 who then attacked him. 

The 30 year-old was taken to hospital but it is not thought he is seriously injured. 

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "The attacker is described as white, in his mid 20s, of medium build, with short blond hair and was wearing a grey Adidas T shirt and grey Adidas jogging bottoms. 

"Any witnesses are asked to contact Southend CID on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
