Crime Falls In Devon

Robbery, burglary and car crime have all fallen in Devon and Cornwall over the last year.

Overall crime fell by 10 per cent showing Devon's one of the safest places in the country.

The figures show a total of 45,123 crimes in 2009/10, compared with 50,433 in 2008/09.

Meanwhile Devon's Deputy Chief Constable says high visability front line policing will continue despite budget cuts.
