Devon Families Turn to Charity For Help

A Devon charity which has helped needy families build new lives is busier than ever.

Exeter-based Turntable has been offering donated furniture to cash-starved families since 1993.

As well as the city, it covers as far as Tiverton, Honiton, Sidmouth, Crediton, Teignmouth, Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton.

But demand has grown and last year  more than 660 families were helped turn their houses into furnished homes.

And the charity, which is supported by Exeter City Council, has moved from its premises on marsh Barton to a new storage facility in Swans Yard.
