Tackling Devon's Care Home Crisis
Unless something is done there won't be enough care homes to look after our grandma's and grandad's.
More than 70 independent private care providers in Devon have come together to represent the interests of quality care homes, their staff and residents.
The Devon Quality Care Forum (DQCF) has been set-up to provide on voice to tackle issues like state funding, care Quality Commission assessments, referrals and quality of care.
All of this topics combined are to blame for the closure of homes or for many turning their back on the state and putting all their efforts into private residents with lots of money.
The group is open to independent private care home operators with homes in Devon - for further information on joing the group, contact Rebecca deVerenne on 01395 514 500.
Our local emergency services have launched their campaign to warn drivers of the risks of drinking, or taking drugs, and driving.
