Elderly Man Has TV Stolen
Bedfordshire Police are hunting for the callous burglar who stole an elderly man’s television while he was out for the evening.
The burglary took place at Hickman Court, Copenhagen Close, Luton between 9pm on Sunday 16 November and 5pm 17 November. The burglar gained entry to the property through an open window and stole the Bush Flatscreen television before making off.
The elderly victim was fortunately away at the time.
Detective Constable Catherine Layton, investigating, said: “We would advise anyone going away for the night or just popping to the shops to make sure all their doors are locked, double locked in the case of UPVC doors and their windows are closed and locked. They should leave lights on to make potential thieves think someone is at home and where possible leave a radio or television on for the same reason.”
