Man Arrested After Bletchley Death

Police were called to a house after reports that a fight was going on, but were later told a man had been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The officers went to Allen Close in Bletchley, Milton Keynes after being told, at 9.30 on Friday night, that two people were having a fight.

When they arrived they found nothing, but at around ten past midnight on Saturday they were told that a 58 year-old man had been taken to Milton Keynes hospital from the address.

He he died later on Saturday.

The man's death is being treated as unexplained.

A 50 year-old man was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.

Thames Valley Police has notified the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Superintendent Chris Ward, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who has any information about this incident in Bletchley which could assist the investigation.

I would like to reassure the community there is no threat to the general public but if anyone has any concerns please feel free to approach a member of the Neighbourhood Team."
