Gloucestershire County Council has expressed concern about claims about a craze being carried out at a Gloucestershire school.

The game called American Dream or California Choke involves pupils putting pressure on their own or a friends windpipe to create an artificial high.

Its been linked to 95 deaths in America and now teachers at Chipping Camden School in the Cotswolds say they have seen it happening in the playground.

Cllr Jackie Hall, cabinet member for education and skills, told Heart:

"This is the first time we've heard of this worrying activity happening in our schools and I am pleased to see the head has taken immediate action.

"While this may seem like a game to the children involved, it is clearly very dangerous and should not be happening."
