Foster carers for siblings

Appeal for more foster carers to take on sibling groups

Gloucestershire County Council are hoping to find more potential foster carers who can provide a home fore more than one child.

Experts say for children probably already traumatised by separation from their parents, being able to stay with their brothers and sisters can be a huge life line.

There are currently nine groups of siblings waiting to join a new family.

Teresa McGee from Cheltenham has fostered two brothers and their sister for eight years and has no regrets.  She is joining the appeal for more carers to come forward, seeing first hand the rewards involved in keeping young children together.
