Nearly a week on from a collision in Kemble, police still do not know the identity of a pedestrian who was seriously injured.
Officers are now re-appealing for information about the man, who remains in a critical but stable condition in Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.
He was hurt after a car collided with him on the A429 between Kemble village and the airfield entrance at about 7.10pm on Thursday February 13 and had no identification on him.
He is described as white, of slim build, in his mid 40s, with long, brownish ginger hair and a full ginger beard. He also has a faint scar approximately three inches in length under his right arm.
PC Shelley Holloway said: "The man remains on the high dependency unit at Frenchay with severe head injuries and we can't take his fingerprints to find out who he is as he is too unwell at the moment.
"That's why we're appealing for anyone who thinks they may know him to call us.
"We really want to be able to tell his family and friends what's happened as I'm sure everyone can understand.
"We think he may have been sleeping rough in the area so if you have seen him in the past or recognise the description please call us on 101 and quote incident 419 of February 6."
