Protecting homes from flooding
It is going to cost more than a million pounds and will protect hundreds of homes in Gloucester from flooding.
Work is due to start this summer on flood prevention work at Daniels Brook in Tuffley.
People living in more than 160 homes along the brook had to clear up the devestation left by the floods of 2007.
Anthony Perry from the Environment Agency told Heart: "Residents in this area of the city have suffered from flooding in the past and the work we are carrying out will significantly reduce flood risk and this will improve the quality of life for the people affected by flooding."
