TV switchover continues

The first parts of Gloucestershire affected by the big TV switchover, have gone totally digital.

The final analog channels have been switched off at the Mendip transmitter near Wells, which serves people in the Stroud valleys.

Bill Taylor from Digital UK told Heart what it means:

It basically means you will need freeview, satellite or cable TV to continue watching your favourite programmes.

When the switchover takes place people with Freeview, BT Vision and Top Up TV also will need to re-tune their TVs or digital boxes to pick up all the services available.
