Women's centre opens it's doors

A brand new women's centre has opened it's doors in Gloucestershire.

The 29 million pound centre opened at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital this week, after two years of planning and building.

The Centre has new oupatient and antenatal clinics, which opened on Monday, this will be followed by the delivery suite, midwife-led birth centre and neonatal unit which will be in use from Thursday.

The changes will also see Cheltenham's birth unit becoming midwife-led, so women with difficult births will be taken to the new centre if there are any complications.
