Children Robert Miles
We've teamed up with the Herts Air Ambulance to encourage schools in Essex to 'Go Red' this September!
And we've the fantastic opportunity for all the pupils at your local school to find out about 'Go Red' and see for themselves what a great job the Air Ambulance does, with a landing right in the school grounds!
And that's not all as we'll also be sending the Angels and the Heart Winning Whirlwind along with the chance for pupils to win cash to spend on sports equipment for the school!
Simply register your local school in Essex via the form below (make sure you've agreed this with the school first) and we could be literally paying all the pupils a flying visit!
We'll agree a date with the winning school and then drop in for the children to find all about the Air Ambulance.
Plus five lucky pupils will get to take a turn in the Heart Winning Whirlwind, this will be full of white and red hearts swirling around and all the pupil has to do is catch as many red heats as they can in just 15 seconds.
Each red heart collected is worth £10 to spend on sports equipment for the school!
'Go Red' is all about raising much needed funds for the county's life-saving helicopter during National Air Ambulance Week in September 2012.
Simply wear red and donate £1 to the life-saving Air Ambulance, it’s great fun for schools, businesses, groups and individuals.
It's a great way to show support for the Air Ambulance and there's lots of ways you can 'Go Red':
• Dress in Red and donate £1 per person
• Hold a raffle with all red prizes ...
• Make and sell cup cakes iced in red
• Get sponsored to dress as a tomatoe
• Hold a themed Red Party
• Decorate your classroom or office in Red ...
The Herts Air Ambulance operates 5 days per week and carries a highly skilled crew of Doctors, Paramedics and life-saving equipment to a patient within the first few vital minutes of an emergency.
Maintaining the life-saving helicopter costs around £130,000 per month to cover all charitable costs and aircraft operations. They receive no direct government or lottery funding; relying upon the generosity of local people to keep the aircraft flying!
