Maidstone; Two Die in Crash

Two men have died after a crash near Maidstone and a young woman has died and a man is critically ill in a London Hospital following a collision near Dover.

Just before 4am two cars collided on the A229 Linton Hill, near Maidstone. The driver and passenger in a silver Volkswagen Bora died at the scene and the driver of a grey Nissan X-Trail was taken to hospital with injuries not believed life-threatening.

A car left the road and turned upside down on to the roof in a field beside Sandwich Road at Eythorne, near Dover, early on Saturday morning.  Kent Police was called at 2am and a woman, aged in her early 20s and understood to be a passenger in the car, died at the scene.

A 21-year-old man, also believed to be a passenger, was taken to a London Hospital where he is in a critical condition.
The families of all those involved have been informed.

The roads in both Maidstone and Dover were closed to allow emergency services and crash investigators to work at the scene. Both roads have been reopened.

Witnesses to the collisions or anyone with information is asked to contact the Kent Police Serious Collision Investigaiton Unit on 01622 798538.
