A man who was found guilty of murdering two people in Canterbury has been jailed for a minimum of 30 years.
A 19 year old man has been charged with stealing a meerkat from a wildlife park near Canterbury.
The six-year-old male meerkat went missing from its enclosure at Wingham Wildlife Park on 29th December last year.
It was found dead in a dog waste bin in Sandwich two weeks later, after a member of the public reported seeing it hit by a car.
Kent Police say student Adam Catherick from Laburnham Avenue in Sandwich, has been charged with theft and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates' Court on 11th May.
A 47 year old woman who was also arrested at the time, has been charged with possession of cannabis and will appear at the court on the same date.
