Charity offices sold to cover debts

Up to nine buildings in West London, occupied by charities and voluntary groups are to close.

Councillors in Hammersmith have decided to sell off the properties to help pay off debts of £133m.

Local Labour MP Andy Slaughter has described the move by the Conservative-led councils as an "act of cultural vandalism."
