Concern over patient discharge timing

Action's being promised by the NHS after reports hundreds of thousands of patients are being sent home from hospital in the middle of the night to free up beds.

The Times claims many in London go home between 11pm and 6am.

The medical director of the NHS says patients should only be discharged when it's safe and convenient for them and their families.
