The death of a woman in a house fire in North Finchley is being treated as murder.
80 year old Chloe Siokos, was found dead along with her 69 year old husband Argyrios Siokos, at the semi-detached house.
Police said they believe that Mrs Siokos was killed in the fire, but post-mortem examinations are yet to be arranged.
Detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are treating her death as murder and are not looking for anyone else in connection with what happened.
Firefighters took around two hours to extinguish the fire after they were called out at around 6am.
London Fire Brigade said the fire destroyed large parts of the house, affecting around three-quarters of the ground floor, half of the first floor, the staircase and roof.
They found Mrs Siokos's body in the kitchen and her husband's in a first-floor bedroom.
