Four men have been arrested in North London as part of an investigation into the trafficking of women into Britain

Scotland Yard believes hundreds of women, mostly from Hungary, have been brought into the country and sexually exploited.

It is believed that many of the women were told they would be given jobs as receptionists, only to then be forced into prostitution.

Officers also carried out searches at properties in Camden, Tower Hamlets, Haringey, Enfield and Luton.

Two suspected brothels were found in Enfield.

Potential victims were found at some of the addresses and taken to a dedicated specialist agency to receive support and guidance.
