London Fire Brigade Strike

London Fire Brigade tell us they can't guarantee sending a fire engine to every 999 call during today's strike (Saturday)

London Fire Brigade says it will respond to 999 calls throughout an eight-hour strike by firefighters today in a dispute about changes to shift times.

Just fifteen per cent of the capital's fleet of 165 fire engines will be available during the stoppage which is expected to result in less urgent incidents not being attended.
