Stratford Bus Station's reopened to passengers after work to improve it ahead of next year's Olympic Games.

Stratford Bus Station's reopened to passengers after work to improve it ahead of next year's Olympic Games.

Thousands of extra people are expected to use the bus station to get to and from the nearby Olympic Park.

Brand new bus shelters and seating are being put in.  Footways and signage is also being improved.  The station has also been given "a lick of paint."

Mike Weston, Operations Director, London Buses said "Stratford bus station is now open and passengers are able to access their normal stops again. Work is continuing at the bus station to provide a completely refurbished bus station by Spring 2012."
