A 24 year old man who died after being stabbed in a fight near London's Olympic Park has been named.

Liam Woodards (right) lived locally in Stratford.  He died of injuries he suffered in a fight at the Stratford City Westfield Shopping Centre just before 4.30pm on Friday 29 June 2012.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Scotland Yard said two other males suffered minor injuries during the attack, which happened in a busy area of the shopping centre called The Street.

Five men aged between 20 and 23 were arrested.  One was cautioned for affray on Saturday 30 June and released without any further action.

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Andy Kelly from the Metropolitan Police said: "We believe that shoppers at the centre may have filmed or photographed some part of the incident on their mobile phones.

"We encourage them to come forward and share this potentially vital material with us.”
