DISS: Woman Jailed for Dangerous Driving Death
A woman who admitted causing death by dangerous driving after a collision in Diss has been jailed.
47 year old Amanda Brierley, of The Street in South Lopham in Norfolk was driving a silver BMW along Roydon High Road when she was in collision with a silver Skoda Fabia on Friday 1 July.
32-year-old Claire McKeown of Dundonald Road in Liverpool died in hospital a day after the collision, in which two other people were seriously injured.
Brierley appeared at Norwich Crown Court (Friday 16 December), and pleaded guilty to a charge of causing death by dangerous driving and was given an eight-year sentence.
