Ex-Norwich Footballer Jailed For Rape

Ex-Norwich City player Ched Evans has been found guilty of rape and jailed.

23 year old Evans was found guilty of raping a woman who was "too drunk to consent" to sex at Caernarfon Crown Court today.

The former Norwich City player, who was on loan with the club for several months in 2007, has been jailed for five years.

Until recently Evans had played for Sheffield United and had been on trial alongside Port Vale defender Clayton McDonald, 23.

The pair were accused of raping a 19-year-old woman in a hotel room in Rhyl in May last year.

McDonald was today found not guilty.
