The worst weather of the winter so far has come during an important time for thousands of students in the region.

The snow and ice has come at the height of exam time and there have been worries over students being able to make it in to school and college to take their GCSE and A-levels.

Corianne says students, teachers and invigilators have pulled out all the stops to make sure they get in, at a time where hundreds of schools have had to close.

She tells Heart the turnout's been surprising....
