Great Yarmouth: Blind Man Attacked

A 45-year-old man is due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court this morning, Monday 29 October, charged with assaulting an 86-year-old blind man on Saturday afternoon, 27 October.

David Day, of Hamsterly Park in Northampton, was arrested after the victim was allegedly attacked in St Nicholas Road around 3.15pm - 3.30pm. The 86-year-old man sustained two cuts to his face.

David Day has now been charged with assault occasioning ABH and with being drunk and disorderly in St Nicholas Road.

He has been detained in custody to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates this morning.
