NORWICH: Betting Shop Robbery

Staff at a Norwich betting shop have been threatened by a man with a knife during a robbery.

 

Police are appealing for information following a robbery at a Norwich bookmakers last night, Wednesday 19 October.

At around 9.10pm a man wearing dark clothing was seen near Betfred on Hall Road. Ten minutes later a similarly dressed man entered the premises and threatened staff with a knife. He demanded money and a quantity of cash was handed over. The man ran off behind flats on Trafalgar Street and then back towards Hall Road. The staff were shaken but unhurt.

The man is described as white, around 5 foot 9 inches tall, of slim build and was wearing a black hooded top and dark tracksuit bottoms.

Officers want to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area before or after the robbery, or anyone else with information about this incident.
