Norwich: Man Arrested Over Knifepoint Robberies

Detectives are investigating two knifepoint robberies in Norwich and have arrested a 41-year-old man.

It follows incidents on Saturday 31 August when a man entered Aldi in Plumstead Road and Steve McDonald News in Witard Road, threatening shop workers before getting away with a quantity of cash.

The suspect was arrested at an address in the city in the early hours at about 12.20am and was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre where he remains in custody and will be questioned by police.
