Norwich: Witness Appeal After Robbery

Detectives investigating an armed robbery which happened in Norwich yesterday have released details of a potential witness they are keen to trace.

Shortly before 10am a man entered M&Ms convenience store in Wingfield Road, at the junction with Oak Street, and demanded money from the cashier before threatening him with what is described as a handgun.

The robber got away with a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene along Wingfield Road towards Alysham Road.

Officers are keen to trace a woman seen walking from Wingfield Road into St Martins Road moments before the robbery took place.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Martin Clabon, from Norwich CID, said: "The woman was pushing a buggy while a toddler walked alongside her holding her hand. We are keen to trace this person as we believe she may hold important information about the incident."

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Det Sgt Clabon in Norwich CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
